General
The unit is a 2-Channel integrated stereo amplifier with passive preamp-stage and high-gain final power stage. The well-sized internal power supply of 400W enables output powers of either 100W per channel to 8 ohms or 150W per channel to 4 ohms.
Its ultra low noise circuit perfectly replays the delicate details present in any kind of music extremely close and accurate to the original.
It reproduces a defined sound of highest quality, ultra high transparent, detailed, controlled with its full image characteristics.
Design, Material, Manufacturing Standard, Finish
The amplifier components are mounted in a stable metal enclosure with massive brushed aluminum front panel and good ventilation system. Design is simple and cool, handling-optimized, excluding unnecessary toys and extravagances, perhaps, just in this way nice. Selection of material, dimensioning, treatment as well as manufacturing are of absolute perfection similar as for design and outfit. Handling and operating are functional and easy as well.

Details: A very nice amplifier for next to nothing
I have used a Korsun (Dussun) KS99 for a couple of months and decided not to keep it. It simply lacks the stability for my Final electrostats. That said, it is a very nice amplifier and on normal speakers it performs quite well.
It is rumoured that the KS99 is the same thing as the Red Rose Passion. Although this may be true, I know no one with a Passion and in fact no one with a Red Rose. For all I know this Red Rose could be a hype just to let us think we buy a Mark Levinson at a fraction of the price. It is not very important, as for the price the KS99 can easily defend itself. And when you just want a cheap but very nice amp, you cannot go wrong with this one. It is a disadvantage that there is no remote control on this amp, but instead the unit is well engineered and operates flawlessly |

Details: Real bargain
This is a real bargain. Actually I had the Dussun KS99 (Dussun is the new name of Korsun). It is even better looking than the Korsun with the new knob. If you compare the price of this amplifier with the Red Rose Passion (Red rose is the latest Mark levinson brand) you will se that Red Rose Passion is 3000 (3 thousand!) usd and the Dussun KS9 is 198 euros, and they are THE SAME AMPLIFIER. No doubt this is a bargain, eh! The sound is the sound a Mark Levinson 3000usd amplifier can deliver: really not bad... |
