Details: G&W AT-F100 headphone amp and Grado SR3251
This combo is a perfect match. Lots and lots of wonderful details, low/high registers are very deep/airy but the mid register is just awsome. Compared to my old AKG K141 it a new world of openness and clarity to enter. Build quality is really high and a feel of robustness is felt when handling parts. Only drawback is there is no extra line output/throughput of the line signal at the back of the G&W. I have to connect from my CD to the G&W and my normal stereo amp in parallell. Gives no problem other than a RCA splitter. Other stereo amps might handle this better than mine depending on connectors. |
