Details: Well things can get better
I\'ve got this integrated bought through Ornec. I agree most of the others reviews but:
- one star gone for the quality of built, rust in the lid and chassis, aluminium front panel from standard alu, not hard alloy: it gets marks like butter! The source selector does not cut the source just next to the one on, the CD position is hard and must be turned many times before both channels are on.
- a second star off for the constant changes in components!(and this applies to the whole G&W stuff!) Each amp is almost unique!
Mine does sounds very good, but there is no miracle from my old Arcam to this one. An Advance Acoustic MAP105 at 500€ is a bargain also... chinese way may get dry soon...
People with this amp please send me pics of the internal of the amp in order to check the diffrent component choices and find the best ones... le dijonnais aussi!
Send your pics of the inside at rx7[at]free.fr.
I\'m going to change the pre-amp\'s output caps for 2x russian PIO 2.2uF K75-24(in mine 2x Philips MKC 2.2uF caps, board is written \ |

Details: fantastic
j\'écoute cet ampli depuis maintenant 1 mois, et il est magnifique pour le jazz ou pour la musique de chambre. Les basses sont parfaitement tenues. Les timbres sont très beaux.
Sonne très bien avec des enceintes triangles.
thank you Ornec for this excellent product. |

Details: Love it
I upgraded from a Marantz PM66SE to this, and I absolutely love it. It is currently playing with a Zhalou 2.5 DAC and a pair of Dali Royal Menuet II and a subwoofer from BK. Bass control is excellent, and I find the overall sound to be detailed and open. |

Details: Very good amp
It\'s a huge upgrade from my cambridge audio 640A, very refined sound, and the low-end is finaly under control on my B&W dm603s3\'s.. This thing really sounds like high-end. I tried it on a pair of B&W 801\'s and it sounded great!
Build quality is good, with a heavy feel.
It\'s very musical, didn\'t do bad compared to 300B mononblocks.
Thanks ornec! |

Details: Bargain!!!
The one time I\'ve ordered in from abroad, opened the box, and stopped and stared. The build, the look, the finish, the weight - oh, and then the sound - have nothing to do with the price tag. I can\'t make that obvious enough. It\'s no wonder the UK hi fi press ignore or disparage Chinese hi fi as some sort of wild bet. This amp performs at £700+ plus. My Jungson 88-D is maybe 5% better but it\'s the size of a fridge and heats up like an oven (and it cost five times what the G&W does). I\'d just buy this one on spec. It is fantastic. |

This is really something! It looks like a Copland and sounds even better. And is made like a battle ship.

Details: Incredible price/performance!
I\'ve had the pleasure of owning this little wonder for just over two months and I\'m thoroughly satisfied!
My 2006X has a lot more punch than I expected from such a lightweight machine, I\'t capable to make all but the heaviest loads sing with joy. The soundstage is wide when approtriate and there is considerable 3D awareness. A single flute sounds like a single flute and not it\'s 9\' wide while a jazz band really comes alive and the musicians are accurately positioned on stage.
This amp really competes in a much higher league than the price omits, it has bested my Primare A20 and given me money to spend on accessories like dampers instead. |
