Details: The real deal
This cd player is really worth the money. It\'s open and homogenous. The bass is deep an accurate, so is the treble and mid. I waited some time for this and the G&W TW-2006X to arrive, but it was worth the wait. Looks like i million bucks and plays like it to! Highly recommended! |

Details: Solid as a rock...
This CD player is extremely heavy and well built. It is constructed from slabs of aluminium and, in the UK, would retail for around 1200 pounds. On normal consumer CD\'s it is at it\'s best producing very detailed sounds with very nice clear, concise music. I am using it with a Yarland 300B SE amplifier which will also help extract more detail and keep the sound very smooth but this CD player is the nearest thing to vinyl I have ever heard from CD. When playing HDCD it is very good but the difference is not as obvious as with consumer items. It is still very precise with good atmosphere. When playing hybrid SACD\'s it is not that impressive. It would be better to use an SACD player for such items. If you are considering this unit, don\'t...!!! Just buy it ! |
