Details: Gorgeous and well-executed design, but...
I\'ve now bought two CD players from China around the same price range, the Original A9.8 and the Sheng Ya 10 something.. The ShengYa has considerably more weight than the Original, but the Original is perhaps the classiest digital source in existence, and sounds quite good as well.
As I live in the US, to use the Original I have to rely on a step-up voltage converter. There are A LOT questions about whether this affects the signal quality. After getting the Original I spent a month emailing and posting looking for ways to change the power supply without paying >$500 to CD player modification companies, and still haven\'t found a cheap, easy way to do it. The Original service people say the player is not meant for US export, and that it cannot be serviced since my unit was a \ |

OK theres no disputing the class build and jaw dropping looks of this cd player, but try and find DECENT review of sound
quality/comparison and i come up against a brick wall,after all i am going to play cd\'s on it rather than stare at it! |

This is certainly the best looking CD player in the world - and the only one that comes complete with a pair of white cotton gloves! And the sound is great, too. You could add a \'0\' to the price and nobody would be suprised. Can\'t rate it too highl;y - thanks! |
