The Shanling CD-A10T is realy a superb CD-Player, very nice finish and warm and harmonic sound. Much better than the most CD-Player I have heard so far.

I purchased this player second-hand of a chap on ebay. when I received it I was immediately impressed with the build quality of the unit. Being an engineer I just had to have a look inside it. The quality of the manufacture is superb, probably similar to say Linn Hi-Fi with a well designed and laid out PCB. all the interwiring was extremely neat and tidy.
Sound wise, it needs a few days to warm up to get the valves stable. once they are the sound quality is \'lovely\' sorry to use a word like this but the sound is not \'clinical\' having tubes in the output stage with high quality op-amps in the mid stages and burr-brown DAC\'s the sound is exacting like any high quality CD player but it has the mellowness and warmth of \'valve sound\' to it. I would highly reccomend this player to anyone who is looking for somthing \'different\' from regular CD players, it lookes and is precisionly made and you will not be dissapointed with the sound. |
