Details: Value for the money
The BADA BH-1 is mij first encounter with Chinese Hi-fi. It won\'t be the last. The PH-1 is a sturdy pre-amp, well built, aliminium casing and looks like a mutch more costing amp. I use it as a headphone amp (Sennheiser 250, NAD S-500 CD) and they seem to match very well. The sound is warm, vocals are very well defined, bass is slightly less. Overall an impressive soundstage for an amp of this price. One minor disadvantage: it runs very hot after two hours of listening, the ventilation sleevens are in my opinion too small to dissipate the heat inside. It can\'t be very goor for the tubelife, especially because they are NOT easey replaceable (soldered). You can get spares on Ebay, however.
Last little thing: you can\'t see the tubes glowing! Please BADA make a peek hole, good for ventilation and heat dissipation! |

hi from luigi, italy. today has arrived the phono amp. i want say only one world: fantastic. the sound , after 30 minutes a warm up , is astonishing. fully detailed i\'ve never heard from my head sennheiser a similar bass response. deep, detailed and a s/n ratio noise never seen before. the silence without sound is absolute. no hiss or noise. i\'ve discovered a lot of details from my cd and from my pioneer dv 505.
only one problem: the box is a little heater , after several minutes became very hot. note the plug is for the american plug standard.
p.s. don\'t exagerate with the sound pressure in your ears. |
