Details: Valve sound for a limited budget
The Yarland FV-34C is a well build amplifier.The quality/price relation is good.And it is reasonable option for beginners introduction in high end tubes amplifiers. The sound is clear and real, but recommended a speakers sensitivity almost 90 Db or higher.I have tested with Kef Cresta 30 and the sound is bright. The tubes - valves included are chineses, you must improve changing for JJ-tesla EL 84. And input tubes for NOS 5670. The amplifier on standby has a little \ |

Vorige week dinsdag 13-09-2006 in een gekke bui besteld om te proberen ook vanwege de prijs, maar tot mijn verbazing kwamen er nogal wat doanekosten overheen € 25, en je moet rekening houden met de transportkosten ongeveer € 110 maar dan heb je dan ook een dijk van een versterker ,mijn eerste indruk was het gewicht en de groote van het apparaat zeer klein, maar wat een sound ongeloofelijk, dit is niet te evenaren met een gewone transitorbak van €1000, Alleen je moet wel uitkijken dat je de tubes op de juiste plek zet staan wel nummers op maar die liggen meestal los in het doosje van de tube dus kijk goed. het laag is zeer strak en diep, het midden komt sprankelend over, het hoog krijg je gewoon kippevel van ,je hoort nu geluiden die je nog nooit op een cd gehoord hebt, er zitten twee ingangen op ,namelijk een Aux en een cd ingang en hij moet even een tijdje indraaien een paar dagen is echt genoeg. dan heb je dan ook echt het gevoel dat je bij de artiest staat, ook voor klassiek en orgel is hij uitmuntend te gebruiken, het stereobeeld is echt niet te geloven. een aanrader voor iedereen die wat anders wil en nu echt wil genieten van zijn of haar muziek. |

Details: A big sound into a small package
The amp is quite small, almost half of the standard width, but solid construction and quite heavy. Looks good (better than in the photo). I\'ve not seen anything inside.
Related to the sound, it has a very opened defined sound, with naturalness and musicality in treble and mids. No excess in mildness because almost every loudspeaker nowadays is too much analitic, especially the metal dome tweeter ones, so the couple with this little valve amp is fantastic. It has enough power, but a litte small with the proac response 1s clone (86dB. sensitivity), so for small sensitivities I would recommend something bigger. For desktop use, or medium to high sensitivities speakers, a really atonishing value for the money. Thanks to Yarland for making so good gear at that price. |

Great Product for small pocket money.Really good bargain for this price or for beginner of someone who want to try out the tubes amplifier.Sweet treble may be it\'s too much some times.Bass are not so punchy or tight.But Voice for jazz are sweet.Drive my 100 watt Cabasse with out problem.It\'s very quick and warmth up very fast.Recomending to any one You Will Love it. |

I did´nt expect this small amplifier beeing so great. It has a clear and brilliant sound, is full of warmth and can control the bass. It´s very good with classical and Jazz but also with electronic music. It´s no problem to drive complicated loudspeakers. Furthermore it looks beautiful and seems to be well-made.Congratulations!

Excellent value for the price - a solid construction and a good sound. Sound is lively, true and easy to listen to. You can sense softness and warmth in the sound, sometimes a bit too much - this amp tends to soften rough edges and make records enjoyable. Three-dimensionality works most of the times, depth could be more pronounced and obvious. Pick your interconnects carefully though they have a serious effect on the sound. |

This little Yarland provides an excellent sound for the price. OK, with only 2 inputs and 10 watts output it will not suit everyone but has more than enough power for normal listening levels. The sound is crisp and detailed with excellent stereo imaging. To be critical the sound can be a little trebly, and the base is a bit spongy, and slightly lacking in definition but this only became apparent when comparing the amp to one costing 20x the price. Overall, I would defy anyone to find a better sounding amp for the money. |

I am very pleased with the sound of that device, being so small giving a very good volume and spatial resolution. I am excited about it everytime I listen to music on it.

I\'m as impressed with the quality of the Yarland FV-34C III amplifier as I am of the ORNEC service. It was only nine days from ordering the amp to having it handed to me, in perfect working order, by DHL. Aesthetically attractive the construction of this solid little amplifier is excellent, good value for the money. The sound is transparent, and clean, it is very quiet. This is a great value amplifier. With it´s 12 Watts you can drive almost any speaker. Great bass control. The amp is very well built. 5670 tubes are not very common and a little harder to find than usual drivers (12AX7, 12AT7 6DJ8 etc.) but soud realy good. overall a great amp for the money |
